We have been going to the Pastry Kitchen for many years now and they are absolutely great. The food is fresh and organic where possible, cakes are real home made with an amazing taste to them.We purchased a Black forest cake for parents 60th Wedding Anniversary and it was so delicious with everyone commenting on the quality and freshness. If you are considering an occasion for work or family you can't go past the Pastry Kitchen.I am a regular for breakfast and sometimes lunch, I can say that the coffee there is fantastic.It has become my favourite place to eat on Glenferrie rd..Keep up the good work,Stewart.!! I usually meet up with friends who live/work around that area, and it's a great little place to meet up in. As the name suggests, they do a lot of pastry-type things so make sure you try them out! The pies are great and so are the sweets. The coffee is ok - nothing to call home about, but the service is good and they never try to rush you out despite the place being teeny-tiny.

The make th BEST polenta slice and risotto balls! Also they're brunch is outstanding, especially the french toast... mmmmm d'lish! An absolute fav of ours! Small, cozy and great chai.
