I can only assume this this legendary business is under new management. The produce is now not cooked daily and is sold tired looking and old. The little tarts I ordered were not fresh, the pastry soft and wet, and the test of this was that they were not even eaten at the party!!Usually they are the first gone. Similarly with the quiches. Once they were often bought too hot to put in the bag. Now they are left over from the day before. I won't go there again.

I recently purchased an assortment of cocktail pies, pasties, sausage rolls and quiches for our daughters Baptismal celebrations. The pasties were amazing and went down well with all our lunch time guests. The staff were friendly and provided me with assistance in getting my order to my car. The pastries were reasonably priced.

The day I placed my order I had a latte and a Kitchener bun, which were lovely. The Kitchener bun brought back fond memories of when I used to have them as a child. The latte was pleasant on the palette.

They make wonderful tasty cakes, that are delicious. You can order online as well. They made a birthday cake that we brought to work. It was finished in a flash, and everyone wanted to know where it was from.

This is the place to go for quality, delicious pastries. A bit like a country bakery in the metro area. There is some seating if you wish to dine in. When I lived locally, this bakery was always my first choice.

Myrtle and Merkel enjoyed breakfast at Pat-a-cake one fine Saturday morning. It has a wonderful range of cakes, buns and pies. This establishment started as a retail bakery and then expanded to provide a café experience to its patrons.

The Marmadukes purchased a quiche each and Merkel ordered his normal hot chocolate. The chocolate came in a glass mug on a red saucer complete with marshmallow. The froth was good with a sprinkle of chocolate on top. The drink was delicious, creamy and chocolaty. This hot chocolate cost only three dollars and is the new leader for taste for hot chocolates available at this price.

Pat-a-cake has the best cakes along with The cheesecake shop. But there is much more to choose from at Pat-a-cake with little cakes, plus the most delicious foccacias' available.

It has amazing choc mud cakes and great friendly staff members. It is best to go for morning or afternoon tea with a few friends. All the people around me have been getting their birthday cakes for years.

Approximate cost: $5/SLICE
