I left my two dogs over the Christmas period. I was very disappointed not only with the seemingly diminished condition the dogs were returned in, but with the general disorganisation and dishonesty that brought to the business. We were given two pick-up times, before 8am or after 6pm - which is extremely unreasonable considering the minority of people who are able to return from their holidays before 8am. Upon our arrival to retrieve the dogs at 6pm, informed us that because we had chosen to come after 6pm, we would be charged another days rate- $70 all up! We were forced to pay for the extra 24 hours that had supposedly spent "looking after" our dogs, even though we arrived home at noon and had been trying to contact them to arrange an earlier pickup time (which we had been able to do in previous years). The fact that we were charged the money is not so much the problem I have, but rather the fact that we were not informed that we would have to pay the extra day if we chose to come at a later time. I feel cheated and disappointed with the management of Pat's Pets and will not be returning there for my dog-minding.
