I was so upset - before going away I put my dog in to have a wash and brush up at Paws Awhile at Toowong in Brisbane. The groomer said it would take 1.5 hours. I had a lot to do so I rushed to finish and came back when they said. I could not believe what I found - they had clipped my dog back very short almost to his skin in parts - my dog did not smell as if he had been washed at all. The clipping was uneven with very short bits on the top of his paws and elbows that he is already starting to lick. I was devastated as we were going to colder weather and my dog had no protection from the cold. I can only say to others PLEASE DON'T GO TO PAWS AWHILE - this business does not even rate a half star. I just put it in to show Not Good

Shaun has been looking after our dog for nearly ten years. He is jovial, flexible and does a great job on a Schnauzer that is not keen on grooming. The haircut style is always discussed beforehand, and we only had a different result when bad matting did not allow cutting to the agreed length - which is fair enough and our fault for not brushing enough. We never had an experience of washing missed when agreed beforehand. Our dog is very comfortable with being left at Paws Awhile, even going to the holding cages by herself, tail wagging, waiting to be let in.

I would give readily this business 5 stars! I recently booked my 2 dogs in at late notice, and was late dropping them off. No problems at all! The man (unfortunately didn't get his name) just took all that on board and made me feel very welcome. One of my much-loved dogs is blind and therefore had no idea where he was or what was happening. The man was very gentle and re-assuring with my dogs. He gave me a quote, and sent me on my way. I received a phone call a couple of hours later and found the dogs secure, happy and nicely clipped and clean. The man charged me less than the quote - what a suprise! Then, the icing on the cake! One of my boys did the unforgiveable as I was packing them into the car. The man came out of his shop, across the street and took care of it with his own plastic bag! I was gob-smacked! No-one ever goes beyond the call of duty these days. So, in summary, service was efficient, well priced, parking was available and everyone was happy, even the dogs!
