I had lunch with a friend at Pegs today. I ordered a vegetarian dish which had poached eggs, avocado, some wholegrain bread and some quinoa and green vegies. It looked very light and healthy, although it was still tasty as it was flavoured with a little bit of lemon. My friend ordered an item that wasn't on the menu, they wanted some hot chips so the staff were kind enough to make them some lovely looking chunky crunchy chips which was served quite decoratively with some sea salt and a variety of dipping sauces in little pots on this big decorative wooden plate. All our food was very nicely presented, and the look and taste was up to a good restaurant quality I thought, it was better than what I would have expected for a café. The staff were friendly but because it was busy it took us a little while to have our order taken. The prices were really reasonable for the quality of the food, and the menu looked impressive with some creative combinations and I also noticed they have soft shelled crab on the menu which I will be keen to order next time! This place is quirky with a great atmosphere and the food was lovely so I would certainly come back!

Food is original and amazing and the coffee is great! The quality of everything is the best but the cafe is chilled out so you can just relax!

It is exactly what Whitebridge needed.

Approximate cost: $25-30
