BEWARE ... I have going to this Pet Doctor for nearly 10 years now with our dog, and it used to be a great place to take your pet for vet care with a friendly smile and eager to help your pet, but unfortantly the veterinary doctor that used to work there has recently retired.
Now there is a new young veterinary doctor that works there that seems to me like all he is worried about is money, since he took over all the pet medications have nearly doubled in price, his Consulting Fees have rockrted sky high, and with the older veterinary doctor he used to give you a part payment program if you had problems paying for the vet bills.
Which this new veterinary doctor basically told me I need to bring my dog in twice a year, even if the dog does not need to go to the vet, to get vet care from him, and when I asked why bring your dog to the vet if there is nothing wrong with the dog, then he reply to me it is by law now that you have to bring your dog in twice a year.
What a load of hogwash, I have now introduce our dog to a different veterinary, which has much lower Consulting Fees and much more friendly service then the so call Pet Doctore ?
This new veterinary doctor at Pet Doctor will rob you blind so Beware he is not really interested in helping you pet but how much money he can make from your pet, so be warned.

Lack of communication, never called to find out how my dog was going after they sent him home VERY ill - they botched up a desexing and a microchip - my chihuahua (a measly 3.5 kilos) was bleeding so badly I had to go to after hours vet hospital. I left Pet doctor feeling anxious, scared and worried for my animal. There is a very unfriendly female vet @ West Lakes who after speaking with a few family/friends only to find I am not the only one and she has a very bad reputation for animals biting her, and not liking her, my dog hated her after she tried to pull out his baby teeth. Some people are better with animals than humans in this case - she is not good with both. Will never go back. I recommend Port Adelaide Vet on Hart st - not only did I feel I could call them distressed about my bleeding dog - they booked me an appt for the first thing the next day and they called the next day to ensure that me and my dog were ok.

They always look after my pets and have super knowledge about everything you need to know about your pet. they supply great foods and toys for pets and exceptional service. they can be highly trusted and send you out reminders via post when your pet is due for their next checkup. Its great and i highly recommend this to all pet owners!

Friendly and helpful staff - however they didn't do anything when my dog was scratching a lot after an operation. There is a bit of lack of communication on what is happening and how to most help my dog. One vet is extremely friendly and helpful.

I recently had 4 puppies immunized at that vet and the service was good, the vet was really nice and furor. It was quite cheap. She also wormed them and i only got charged an extra 10.00 for worming. Very pleased with experience
