Placed an order for Meals for Mutts 20 Kg dog food.
Filled in all the relevant information and paid.
I then received an order confirmation, followed by an order shipped.
Get up next morning to find a refund and order cancelled.
There was a very poorly worded email with an explanation in broken English, stating the postage costs to the Gold Coast were too high, so they cancelled.
The vendor was Pet Station - google them and then avoid them like Covid.
20kg bag - is what it is ... so no excuse, as the weight doesn't change ... they screwed up the postage calculator so their bad.
I reported to My Deal and they were pleasant but totally toothless ... all they could or would do is seek clarification from the vendor.
I entered in to a contract with the vendor in good faith and they screwed up, that's no excuse to liquidate the contract unilaterally.
My Deal must shoulder some blame for failing to exercise adequate control over vendors on their platform.
Interestedly, it is no cheaper to go via my deal than direct to the vendor
Finally, I found an online vendor that was happy to supply and at $27 cheaper inc. postage.

I have again had my three dogs at Pet Station for a grooming session and can't speak too highly of the service there. The staff are true animal lovers and the dogs respond to that. The salon area is spotless, well equipped and temperature controlled. My dogs are all long coated and one is an old arthritic boy who can be temperamental at times. However, he behaves like an angel for the girls there and they all came out looking like the beauty queens (or kings) that they are! Top service and good value, and a nice range of pet supplies as well.
