Peter build a pergola for us and did a fantastic job. He made an appointment to quote and showed up on time and was on time for the start of the project as well. If there was ever any issues or delays he would discuss them with us. My husband and I would recommend him to others.

Peter carried out a major renovation of our 3 bedroom appartment in Cremorne, the work included complete strip out and fitout of all wet areas the removal of internal walls and the installation of structeral steal. The place was completly painted and all doors and hardware was replaced, the job was extensive. The quality of the work was second to none and the respect that Peter and his trades showed for the other tenants in the block was very impresive. I would not hesitate in recomending Peter, or using him again, the work was finished on time and on budget (no supprises)

I had Peter replace a very large deck and he completed the job in time and with an excellent result. He is efficient, well priced and a pleasure to work with.

Peter and his team recently completed a large renovation at our house (reconfiguring almost the entire house, including a new bathroom); on time and on budget. From the minute we met Peter, we were thoroughly impressed with his friendly and professional manner, and the fact that he returned our detailed quote within a few days (we had several other builders around to quote and they all took many weeks to respond). Peter is an excellent communicator who showed great attention to detail in every aspect of his work; from leading us carefully through the decision-making process, to providing a quality finish, right through to cleaning thoroughly after each and every days work. Peters pricing was very competitive and every aspect of the cost of our project was completely transparent. Peters team of tradespeople were all extremely polite and worked closely with Peter to complete the project to the highest standard. Peter was wonderful with our two young children; he is kind and calm, professional and and as our daughter says, he is simply, the best builder. We unreservedly recommend Peter Macken Constructions to anyone with a dream to improve their home and we look forward to seeing Peter for the next phase of our renovation down the track.

Can't speak too highly of Peter. We gave Peter a awkward fence job after he submitted a competitive quote, quickly, via email (still a rarity!) and having taken the trouble to show up (on time!) and consider all of the various complicated issues. When the time came, the materials and Peter showed us as arranged, did the work cleanly, professionally and efficiently. The new fence looks fantastic, Peter! Then we asked he did something not strictly within his remit of building a new fence - he showed up the following working day and had it done in minutes! Finally, I hope one day that Peter will have 10 sons and daughters all imbued with his same work ethic - a plumber, electrician, car mechanic, IT home networking specialist, landscaper...... I'd single source everything through the Macken household!

Peter is a brilliant carpenter and a delightful person to deal with. Peter built me a large deck out the back of my home and helped me make decisions on what wood to use and suggested some fabulous ideas when it came to stairs and fencing which I was very grateful for. Peter worked tirelessly, and his workmanship is of an incredibly high standard and his costs very reasonable. - We use our back deck so much to entertain our family and friends, as it is under cover, and everyone comments on how "fantastic the deck is" once again a fabulous job done by Peter. I recommend Peter to anyone wanting to build or renovate you will be so thrilled with the result. A faultless builder who has his clients vision in mind at all times.

Peter would have to be one of the most obliging and pleasant builders we have worked with in our 30 years of renovating homes and units. Our project this time was a bathroom in a block of units, a job most builders would not consider. Our two grandsons would wait for Peter to turn up, asking him typical questions from 'little people'. Peter always made the time to answer, never did he give the impression, "I'd wish they'd go away!" A most honest and helpful person, a excellent builder and tradesman. It is my pleasure to recommend Peter and look forward to working with again on future projects.
