This is the best Vietnamese food outside of Vietnam. Good sized serves of delicious food. The wait staff are always friendly and helpful. The Tom Yum soup is an explosion of flavour and keeps us coming back regularly. The decor is basic but clean and tidy. Sometimes it's hard to get a car park in George St but there is a council car park behind the shops on the opposite side of the road. The price for this parking is the same as the meters on the street. If you do get a park outside be aware that Brown Bombers frequent the street so keep an eye on the time.
If you are in Parra, don't miss this fantastic restaurant.

Approximate cost: $15

Despite 'Pho' being in this restaurant's name, it actually serves some unexpected items, as well as omitting others. Unexpected: Chinese dishes, thai-like chili basil stir fry, laksa. Not on menu: Vietnamese broken rice dishes, vermicelli dishes.

Hainanese chicken was surprisingly-good, though I missed having no black sauce or even light chicken gravy -- nonetheless, nice flavouring in the chicken rice, smooth boneless chicken thigh, nice generous portion of ginger shallot paste. Pho dac biet had flavoursome soup, could be more generous with the beef balls, tender and thinly-sliced beef pieces.

Overall a surprisingly good feed. Don't expect much from the ambience, though the service is mostly-friendly.
