Phon's Thai

Last night I went to Phon’s Thai in Minyama. I would count myself as a regular including taking my in-laws (from WA) there last year for dinner, they knew how much we liked the place and for Christmas they got us a $100 voucher. We had used $45 since Christmas. I went to use the rest last night (as vouchers are usually valid for 12 months), I was informed that it was only a 3 month voucher and they would not redeem the remaining $55. When I asked for management and explained that I am a regular customer and did not realize the voucher was out of date, his response in a nutshell was basically “that was my issue and the money is now there's”… The way management spoke to me was extremely rude and should never be a way you speak to your customers. I will NEVER be back and would never recommend this place to ANYONE!

Real authentic flavours, food is fresh and serving size is more than adequate... Their $15 lunch special is value for money, it's lovely watching out over Cotton Tree park and the river... BYO is an added bonus, definitely one of my favourite Thai's on the Sunshine Coast

I love Thai food and the food here is just amazing! One of the best I've ever tasted. If you want authentic Thai food, this is the place to go.

Phon's has a great lunchtime special $9.90 for a meal, $15 on weekends which includes an entre. It is situated on the Esplanade and has great views of the Maroochy river. The food is always fresh and authentic. It is in my opinion the best Thai food on the Coast.

I went here with a friend's family that really loves Thai before I became more experimental with taste and shied away from spicy food. Their weekend lunch deal was $15 for an entrée and a main. I chose the spring rolls with chicken fried rice (which was not spicy) as a main. It was honest to god the best fried rice I have ever tasted. Once I get my licence there is no doubt I would be happy to travel down from my home town just to eat here again. And now that I am more experimental with taste - I'll definitely be ordering something a little more exotic than fried rice!

Love Thai and after recently moving to their new address in Cotton Tree the meals and service have just got better. They have a great lunch special each day also.

Phon's is one of the best Thai restaurants on the Sunshine Coast, not just for the food but for the atmosphere. From the moment you walk in the door the staff are friendly and greet you with a smile, and the second you taste your first bite you know you're in for a good meal. We always like to order a lot of different meals and share, because there are just so many interesting dishes to try.
