This is one of the best ice cream shops I have ever been to. What makes them stand out from other places is the wide range of flavours they sell. I will definitely be coming back soon.
There are so many diffferent flavours to try here which makes this place so unique. If you havent gone here you are missing out coz they sell flavours that no other shops have! I definitely recommend this to everyone.
The ice-cream here is always SO GOOD. I'd say that the price is very reasonable for the quality of the ice cream. You do howveer need to wait around in a line if you go at specific times of the day, but its not too long of a wait. I'd definitely recommend going.
Tried the icecream here once and loved it. For $4 a scoop and around $7 for three scoops, it's quite reasonable. The pistachio flavour was definitely my favourite, not too sweet, but you could taste the flavour.
was 9pm on a freezing cold Tuesday night and there was a queue of 10 people. That gives the real impression of what the people think. The queue moved fast as they had 3 people serving. 4 of us had 4 different flavours and we all thought we had the best flavour. Mine was hazelnut, and I still think it was the best.
Approximate cost: $4
i love the icecream so so so much. A unique range of flavours! Would definitely come back again
Place is pretty crowded because it's so good. Ice cream is quality but they do not have a wise selection.
I agree
true af
Yes haha 100% true
AMAZING ICE CREAM!!!!!!!!!!! we go almost every week!! they have really good selections of ice cream and cater for lactose intolerant people!!
I agree
have only been here twice so far and it's great! highly recommend the salted caramel ice cream! staff are lovely and the place itself doesn't look to flashy and pretentious - although i reckon they'd get more customers if they had a sign outside or something
Only twice. How do you manage to hold back :-)
Great to see a good gelati store opening up in Carlton. Despite it's reputation of being the little italty precinct of Melbourne, Lygon St has become quite commercial since the 90s, overrun with a number of opportunistic restaurants/cafes who simply take advantage of the tourist traffic, st reputation, museum and university traffic nearby. Same goes for the gelato vendors. There are quite a number on Lygon St, but only a few are worth lining up for.
Pidapipo offers interesting combinations at a good price. You will find the traditional alongside modern flavours. Think fior di latte, zabaglione, pistachio, stracciatella and vanilla vs ouzo with Vietnamese mint, sweet corn popcorn and peanut butter + jelly.
Good alternative to Helados Jauja
i totally agree with this being an alternative to jauja
and with the commercialization too, it's a bit disappointing xx
