As this was my first visit here, I have to say I'm a little disappointed. I regularly drive past this shop and tonight I was in the area and thought I would actually visit to pick up a pizza to take home. The atmosphere of the place is nice - decked out in a modern red/grey/black theme with a lovely photo print of Italian scenes on the wall. There's a TV and an "Atari" type game console.

They offer traditional, gourmet pizza, pasta and a few other sides like chips and salads. Also ice cream and coffee.

I went with the fairly standard Margarita and Capricciosa with the addition of anchovies. Plus garlic bread. It's a deal for 2 large pizzas, the bread and a 1.25lt drink for $25. On their own, large pizzas are $12.90.

The dough was pretty good - thin but not too thin. Not enough sauce or cheese. But the toppings left a lot to be desired. Base could be seen between the covering of ham and not a generous amount of olives or mushrooms. Garlic bread was just your typical hot dog roll and not crusty bread.

I guess I might give them one more try and order something else, but the whole Italian vibe I had going on in my head had me ready for something just a bit more ... authentic.

The sign on the door said something about a "new menu" but I was the only person in there on Saturday night at 8.00 pm.

I will say that I didn't get charged the usual additional fee for the anchovies since it was a deal, and even the delivery driver was friendly and said "hi". So, maybe it was an off night.

At most I can say they were filling and hit the hunger spot.

Approximate cost: $12.90 one large, $25 two large pizza with garlic bread and bottle of drink
