Well I can pass comment on this company and what they get up to because they, along with the property investor, were involved in taking my wife and myself to court (QCAT) and what I write is official QCAT record. We were taken to court for replacement costs for a carpet that had not been replaced. We were taken to court for replacement costs for a garage remote wall unit that had not been replaced. We were taken to court for handyman costs when no handyman had been employed. In Queensland, any honest property company knows you can only charge water usage costs for a property certified as water efficient. There is huge costs to get a property water efficient and many new builds to not hold this certification. You guessed it we were taken to court for water costs for a non certified property. All were laughed out of court. The alarming thing is after the end of the lease they repeatedly demanded money from us for nonsense reasons under threat of court (QCAT) action against us. They became almost desperate to get us to back down. We didn't and won in court. Truly disgraceful company taking part in aggressive bullying with the threat of legal action which can be very intimidating. Avoid at all costs. Decent companied do not behave like this.

Don't be deceived by the fancy office. These are the worst real estate agents I have dealt with in all my history of renting; as a tenant I feel bad for the owners. Errors in paperwork, lack of bond lodgement, no entry report, etc. Go elsewhere - don't list your property with them, they will not respect or care for your asset.

Agent for the Sale of my Property.

I was rather disappointed that one 4 of the 5 Open Houses, they were either spectacularly late or just didn't turn up at all. While there was "reasons" every time ranging from "we forgot" or "we are running late", it was not the professional look I expected.

I was disappointed that after 3 months that the office of Place Sherwood still does not have any form of Window advertising. The office appears sterile and plain and is not recognizable as a Real Estate Agent. It appears from the street front to be up-market Coffee Shop or something.

A New Real Estate is probably a hard thing to start up, however, Place Sherwood need to spend more time concentrating on their clients (Vendors). I was rather miffed that the Principal (Gary Eaton) was there to sign me up to sell the house, then it was passed on to another agent who I really had no confidence in.

Having sold 5 Properties in the past year through Place and its predecessor, Raine & Horne Graceville, (whom Place purchased and re-branded to Place), I noticed a BIG difference in the style of management and not necessarily for the better.

Unfortunately I cant give Place any more than an average score, however I do wish them all the best. It cant be an easy task to create a New Brand Real Estate in the current Market.

Approximate cost: $15000
