This guy is a complete amateur and dishonest.

I engaged Pluto Painting and Plastering to perform some work on my renovation. He requested I pay a deposit which I did. I had given him plans to quote off, had him come to the house to go through the plans to ensure he understood everything, yet on the day of the commencement of works he started changing the scope saying that certain items were not included. When I showed him the plans, it was then I realised he was unable to read the plans as his worker had to tell him how to read them.

I had asked him to build a small bulkhead ( 1200 x 1500), his reply was that they don't do that kind of work. What he was really saying is that he couldn't do that kind of work. Really! On all the sites I've worked on plasterers can and do frame up. Given this, I lost confidence in his ability to do the work professionally therefore told him the job was cancelled.

He said he would refund my (35%) deposit, it has not been. I'm still trying to get the money back even after two legal letters of demand. Obviously not a man of his word.
