Not a bad Thai restaurant but not fantastic either. An okay atmosphere but they cluttered all the guests to one side of the room. Also, the waiter didn't listen properly and got our order wrong which was disappointing but they did very quickly provide the correct item and were apologetic.

Approximate cost: $20.00

Poppy's Thai in Croydon is great! Lovely relaxed atmosphere with a nice decor to look at when awaiting your meal. Meals are nicely presented, full of flavour and spice, with some dishes hotter than others. Yet all meals are of a generous portion.
Prices are as expected. A nice night out for a local. Recommend

Needing a quick easy food fix, my wife and I walked up and down Croydon's Main Street in search of something 'oriental', and I have to say there was plenty to choose from. Ultimately we opted for Poppys, a restaurant with an average ambiance, nice enough decor, certainly with a Thai feeling, and went on to order just the one main, one sizable entree, rice and drinks.

But first I had to visit the men's room and then my wife the ladies room. Dirty, smelly and with wet slippery floors and filthy carpet - not a good look. Shocking actually.

Entree was their combination - consisting of what was essnetially what appeared to be from the freezer chiko rolls and so forth. Very average. Then came the beef main with the meat relatively course, stringy and not pleasing to the pallet. The meat was also fatty.

Service was fine but really, I wouldn't bother going again.

This Thai restaurant has always been great to dine at. Staff very friendly. Soothing environment and great flavours. Food is always fresh and serving sizes are very reasonable. Take=away never disappoints either! Recommend!

Great food. Beautiful taste. Very rare to come across Thai that isn't covered in oil. We shared one of the banquets which was more then enough food for 6 people. The satay was amazing. Service could have been a bit better

The food is fabulous! Their special dish 'Anna and the King' is a tofu dish that even non-vegos will love. It is a green style curry and is a massive serve. Which is great as you can then ask for a container to take home the leftovers. BYO but they do have beer and wine available to purchase. The Thai beer is great! Service can be a little slow at times, but the food is well worth the wait!
