The Port Princess cruise along the Port River is a great way to see both side of the river. Even thoughit is fairly industrial it is relaxing cruising along the river. We have been on the boat for a couple of dinners and as the sun sets it is lovely. These days you may see dolphins - it depends on whether they want to see you. They are frequently around in late summer, early autumn when they like to play with passing boats. The Port River is a dolphin sanctuary.

ps while sailing on the Port River today, my husband had a baby dolphin play around his sailing boat before returning to its mother. Lovely moment

Travelling the Port River is most interesting. I sail at the Port River Sailing Club and enjoy the dolphins joining in the races.

We were surprised to see some dolphins on our trip as I had informed the children not to get their hopes up in case the dolphins weren't out. They are such lovely creatures and it really made our day. The boat ride is great even with out the dolphins. It is extremely interesting and a great place to take your visiting relatives. It is not our first time and the boat is always clean and comfortable and you can even purchase nibblies which children only seem to want when they see them!

Approximate cost: $20+

My daughter has always loved the Port princess dolphin cruises. Its lovely cruising along the Port river and they point out lots of historical and interesting places along the river. We have always been lucky enough to see dolphins which is a truly magical experience. Boat is clean and they have a relatively decent canteen on board as well as dolphin merchandise. If you go on a day when the markets are open you can make a whole day of it.

This is a great thing to do with kids and its so cheap to do on a Sunday. We took the kids and my aunt recently and we all had a ball we saw heaps of dolphins there was a lot of room on the boat and the commentary was really interesting and informative. Great day out highly recommended.

We has a lovely ride with family visiting from WA. Although no dolphins were to be seen, it was a lovely boat ride for a young family.
