I would not recommend this business to anyone. The technician Sophia, who did my pedicure was rude, very rough and cut my toe without any apology. The pedicure was a painful experience in an unfriendly, non respectful atmosphere, with the girls speaking in their own language and laughing about the clients. Plus after Incurring this, the price has risen to $40. My advice is DONT GO TO PROFESSIONAL NAILS at Hornsby, it's a dreadful experience.

The staff often behave like in a rush to get everything done and doesn’t do a very good job. There are better places at Hornsby.

Good grief, what a disaster. All I wanted was a French polish on my existing nails (nothing complicated like acrylics or anything), something I've had done at numerous other salons without an issue. The staff member who served me was rude from the beginning, telling me multiple times (with an edge creeping into her voice the last time) to sit down at a station that was clearly being blocked by someone else's shopping trolley. She finally put me somewhere else, then proceeded to file my nails down really short and in a bizarre, asymmetrical shape. While she was doing the second hand, I looked at the results of my first hand and the nails weren't even filed smoothly. The whole time she was doing this, she kept trying to upsell me to a shellac polish ($40 vs $25 for a regular manicure). Wow, I said no the first time -- so stop harping on it! When she clipped my cuticles, she made two of my fingers bleed, something I have NEVER experienced anywhere else. She applied the white part of the French polish very thickly, and I had to keep asking her to make it smaller. She was NOT happy about this at all, yet kept saying "Well, it's up to you." Yes, of course it's up to me -- they're my nails! The more irritated she got, the rougher she was, so I finally just called a halt to the whole thing, chucked $25 on the counter, and left. When I got home, I took the polish off and trimmed my nails back to a normal shape, and now my hands look about 10 times worse than they did when I started this whole endeavour. Not only am I never going back there again, I feel like staging an intervention to prevent other women from going there, too! Here's hoping I don't contract hepatitis.

The nails itself is done well but they really do need to concentrate on customer service. Some of the ladies are just plain rude like i asked for another coat and she rolled her eyes at me. Not even a thankyou was said to me when i paid. I understand that they can get quite busy and they may be overworked but as soon as you enter some of them act like they really do not want to see you at all which is unfair to the customers.

This place provides great service but is still up there in cost. I would not really recommend this place as there are others that do a better job. They do though treat you very nicely.

I go here regularly for pedis and sometimes manis. Peter is fantastic - I highly recommend him. It's lovely having a pedi reading a mag and having a massage in that lovely chair - just bliss! Peter is very particular and always does a great job. Best way to spend 45 mins in my opinion and come out feeling nice and pampered!

I went to Professionail to get shallac, for a party and they were great! The shallac was very well done and the service was amazing! The woman i got, was extremely nice and when i accidentally bumped my nail and smudged the nail polish she was fine about it and just re-did it! i was very satisfied walking out those doors and will 100% go there again!

They also fixed my nail when I smudged it as well! Great job. I also love the privacy!

they are great and do a lovely job, never a problem to fix a nail you've messed up as you dash out the door - but I do wonder what they say when they talk their own lingo behind those masks!

The first visit was okay but the second time I came back would probably be my last visit. The staff spoke between themselves in another language which I find rude, I was hardly spoken to at all. My nail polish had lumps in it yet she proceeded to use it, so the end result was disappointing. I had to mention this so they repainted with the same polish and ended up with lumps again. Unfortunately I will not be coming back, I have found an excellent salon upstairs instead.
