Does anyone know how to contact the people that used to have this pet store? I am trying to trace back my dogs lineage and to find out if I can contact the breeder. Thanks,

I bought a Border Collie x Jack Russell puppy back in 2001. He was a beautiful and very clever boy who lived to 12 yrs. I was hoping to go back to this place now but it appears it might no longer be around. Pity.

Approximate cost: $130

Bought 2 dogs from here many years ago. One passed away at 11 years old and the other is still doing fine. Does anyone know if they are still around? I want to get another pup from them.

Approximate cost: $200

I got my border collie from here back in 2003. She may not be pure border collie but she is the best dog ever. Haven't had any issues with her. I've read mixed breeds can be healthier because they don't have the defects that some pure breeds suffer from. She is now 12 years old and still going strong. Absolutely no regrets.

I got my Jack Russell x Staffie from there nearly 6 yrs ago, he is strong and healthy always has been, I then heard some bad reviews on the place, and felt a bit guilty for going there, but I am so glad that I got him,he is my best friend, being the last one there on the day, if I didn't take him who knows what his fate may have been and now I couldn't imagine life without him.

Approximate cost: $280

I'm not sure how the place has changed since we got ours back in 2001. I went down after I was told there were Lab retrievers in stock. After a 2 hour drive was told they had failed their final vet check, but was offered a pure bred Lab in place of it (even though these were at the time nearly twice the cost). She was the only female amongst the other four and as soon as I picked her up, I knew she was the one. She's still going strong today at age 11. Service was absolutely great in my experience, and no problems with the dog since we got her.

I have bought pups from here before, a chihuahua x jack russel. ending up a kelping x and because we didnt have high fences the dog jumped over them and had to be rehomed. It may be deceitful people that they are getting pups from. Unknowingly the sell pups what is a different breed than it should.
They get their pups from everywhere. I am sure she does it for good reasons, because otherwise they would most likely get put down.

Unfortunately there is no guarantee of getting the breed of dog you want when you buy from a pet shop. Pups look very similar when young and the breed(s) in their makeup are difficult to determine.
Pet shops get their pups from all manner of sources including backyard breeders, people whose pet had an "accidental" or "just one" litter and puppy mills. Pet shops never divulge their sources and cannot prove the breed(s) even if they actually knew for sure. Pet shops will also lie about breeds and ages to make a sale.
Moral of the story - view the parents to confirm the breed(s) and see firsthand the temperament and size of the parents. In other words, don't buy from a pet shop.
