We haven't dined at Pure South yet, but dropped in for a quick breakfast on our last trip to Melbourne. The dining room downstairs has been remodeled to provide more enclosed seating - ideal for a chilly Melbourne morning.
The staff were friendly and attentive, and our breakfasts - thickly sliced fruit toast - were generous and delicious. We'll definitely be back!
Love their seafood.. So far, definitely the best I've had, but the portions are small. Great food very good service as well. Nice place to eat
A very elegant restaurant. Beautiful setting both inside and outside on the front porch. The focus is local australian without going too native. Brilliantly sourced meat and seafood on the menu. The place would be perfect for any special occasion or business meeting where you want to leave an impression.

Sitting outside was the perfect setting for a pre show dinner, the staff were very attentive and offered us a wide range of breads and advice on what we should order. The steak was just amazing, as well as the sauces. Would definitely go back!

Dinner here was marvellous. The waiter first brought house breads - with a particularly nice rye. I had the Smoked Eel Terrine entree which was delicious. Main course was Roast Salmon Fillet with mussels, clams, chorizo and winter vegetables, a side green salad with mushroom dressing - very good. The open dining area was warm and sheltered on a wintery night and the service was good. A very enjoyable meal. I will definitely eat here again. I would actually rate this 3.5

Amazing Tasmanian produce cooked to perfection. Both the King & Flinders Island sourced meats and the Seafood were elegantly presented. We had a few minor mishaps with the service which could come down to new staff members. Overall 4 stars
