WELCOME TO Q2DANCE!

We specialize in Urban Styles, such as Hip Hop, Breaking and Popping. But we believe in diversity and feel our students should experience and learn different styles of dance, which is why we provide training in Jazz,Musical Theatre, Drama, Singing and Contemporary to name a few!

Every teacher and style brings with them a unique skill and talent, which will give our students a broader love and understanding of dance and most importantly expand their skills.

For these reasons Q2D endeavors to offer a diverse range of styles and will continue to add to our curriculum. To offer our students the best mentorship, experience and knowledge: "all styles at Q2Dance are taught by industry professionals".

We foster a raw, supportive and fun environment for our students. Giving them a home away from home while they learn and grow as dancers.

LETTER FROM THE ARTISTIC DIRECTOR:

Hi Everyone,

My name is Shannon and I am the Artistic Director of Q2dance! We have been open in our current and new incarnation for nearly two years (two years in June 2012)!

First of all I want to say thank you for stopping by our website and for considering us for your Performing Arts needs.

Q2 Dance believes in teaching a high quality of Dance, Drama, Singing, Piano and choreography.

Especially to our youth kids because they really are like sponges and they pick up new skills and choreogprahpy so fast (even better than adults)!!

I believe it is better to challenge them first to show them what they can achieve and how good they rather than to underestimate them!

It is such a pleasure to see the joy and sense of achievement they have when they know they have learned something challenging and that moment they know they "got it"!

We also strive to make sure what we teach is ideally the best of what we teach and that we stay true to each style and teach technique. We do this by having the best teachers and teaching the right technique for each indivual styles we have.

We also offer Examination Syllabuses CSTD Tap, Contemporary and Jazz plus RAD Ballet.

Obviously every child is different which is why we have divided the classes into different levels! So they have the flexibility of fitting into where they are comfortable.

However, we understand they are kids, which is why we organise the classes in a way that not only challenges them but also is a LOT of fun and allows them to be creative and to showcase their indivudal talents.

We provide performance opportunities via our Youth Performance Group, and Contemporary Company. They represent us at shows, festivals and competitions/Eiestedfodds.

We also have classes for teens and adult. For anyone thats just starting dance or for people that want to contiune they’re training and to get better.

My aim was to have a dance studio that focused on creating an environment that was comfortable, fun, challenging and supportive not only for the students but also for the parents. I am proud to say that’s exactly what we have done, with the help of the faculty, current students and parents!

I have two kids at Q2Dance. They both love it! My boy started with one class and is now up to 8!!
It's a place thats has the right mix of discipline, fun, cool choreography and technique.
I would recommend it to everyone.

It is just fantastic, with a relaxed encouraging environment. My son loves it!!!! In fact he is becoming addicted to it.

More boys should do it - it is fantastic for their confidence and is also a life skill.
His friends at school are asking how he does his moves and all keen to come to Q2Dance also next year. Watch out girls the boys will take over the school!!!!
