RACT insurance. Driver insured with RACT drove into rear of my vehicle while I was stationary. Put in claim weeks ago. Sent follow up email and have heard nothing.
Next step is the insurance ombudsman.

P.S. when obtaining quotes for repairs, most bodyworks would not quote for the RACT as they said it was a waste of time as RACT would go to their preferred repairer.

I have all my car, contents, home building and special items rolled into the one insurance bundle with RACT. You get a 10% discount on the entire premium by bundling them.
I've had claims on my contents, home building and car, and have been happy with all of them.
The claims process is quick and easy, you can lodge a claim over the phone very easily. The assessors seem fair - the assessor for my home building claim was happy to discuss the problem, how it occurred, what the insurance covered & what it didn't (& why it didn't) and didn't treat me like a woman who didn't know anything about building (which I don't!)
My only quibble is that while you are able to pay the premium monthly, it adds several hundred dollars onto the cost - I believe this is probably the same with all insurance companies, but I find it quite stressful having to pay it in one big hit annually.
Otherwise, I'm really happy with them, and wouldn't be looking for a new insurer anytime soon.
