Down-to-earth restaurant dishing up classic and gourmet pizza, plus pasta and risotto dishes. Good food, good service, friendly and funny staff. Good experience.
Wood fired pizzas are the best here, but they also serve up seafood, pasta and steaks which are all very generous sized meals. They have a great kids menu with really good choices on it for kids under 14 for $12 and you can pay and extra $3 to add ice cream and a drink to it if you like which is great cause a drink is about $3 anyway. All the freshest ingredients used on their pizzas and being cooked in the wood fire makes them even more authentic. Take away also available
Rafaelles is my restaurant of choice, it has the best food and friendly service. I always have the calamari for entree. Every time i have calamari somewhere else, it is disappointing compared to the calamari at Rafaelles.
Pricing is quite reasonable, especially as the servings are generous, and the wine & beer selection is quite good, and not too expensively priced.
This is certainly the Greatest Italian restaurant in the Eastern suburbs - their wood fired pizzas are topped with the finest ingredients, as are their delicious pastas, I always have the Calamari fritti as well as my pizza, this is definitely the nicest tasting and tender calamari I've ever eaten, and I've had calamari at more restaurants that I can count. Simply put, I can't rate this fine restaurant high enough
Approximate cost: $17
