I booked in for half a head of foils and a hair cut. As soon as I sat in the salon chair I felt like a inconvenience. The hair stylist Maddie was visibly in a bad mood and complaining about being over booked for the day. I suggested re booking my appointment for another day, Maddie replied "it's fine, I'll manage."

Maddie demanded to know what Shampoo and Conditioner I used, I told her it was a vegan brand called Love and Beauty. Maddie stated she never heard of it but with a quick google search she could list all the toxic ingredients. The tone was condescending, she was raving loudly leaving me feeling humiliated in front of other customers. She began to lecture me on how just because a product is vegan doesn't mean its good.

After the foils were washed out Maddie was brushing my hair and telling me how dry my hair was. It was in poor condition and lectured me about making sure to get trims every 6 to 8 weeks. Once again the tone was condescending, Maddie was raving loudly for other customers to hear. I was humiliated once again during my appointment. At this stage I told Maddie that she was being rude and insulting and to just hurry and finish my hair so I could leave. I honestly couldn't stand to be in that salon chair any longer.

Maddie did apologise but the damage was done....

I sent a email to Linda the owner and manager, she apologised for Maddie's behaviour towards me. I was offered an hour massage to which I declined and asked for a refund as I didn't feel comfortable going into the salon. Linda did not reply to my email asking for a refund.

Do not book into this salon, honestly I wouldn't wish that kind of treatment on anyone paying for a hair service.

Edit: an hour after posting my honest review in Google reviews, Linda the manager emails me stating she wouldn't refund me because she believes the service I received was "fulfilled "... I have no words, I guess I'm disappointed that a business that aims to make people feel good about themselves could bring a paying customer down and humiliat them and not have the decency to offer a refund.

I go to Raptcha'u for waxing and they are very good. Everything is hygenic and the staff are friendly. It can be hard finding a good beautician, especially in a rural town but I have been happy with the results.
