My fiance and I were not given the full set of keys on settlement day. We entered our new home without a problem that afternoon and locked the door knob as we left. We had to call a locksmith later that night as we couldn't re-enter our home. Thankfully, removalists weren't booked until the day after as it would have been more costly for an error which was made by the agent and/or his team. Our solicitor recommended we ask [redacted name] to cover the costs for the locksmith since it is their responsibility to provide the full set of keys or at least let us know why there is a delay. However all we've heard to date is radio silence. The agent had a duty of care which he didn't uphold and feel he has done wrong by us as first home buyers.
