Terrible real estate business. When we were moving out of our rental home they were INSISTENT on making us use a specific bond cleaner.. We were basically told that if we don't use this cleaner than we will not receive our bond back and it may show on our rental record. Apparently other cleaners were just not good enough. We began to suspect that there is some kind of relationship between these two, maybe they share the profits. Either way, we had no choice but to use the cleaner they recommended due to this vague threat about our bond and a bad reference by the real estate. The bond cleaner themselves were a passive aggressive. They initially quoted 'just under a $1000' for a bond clean of a small duplex. Though it did have three ensuites, this seemed excessive. We got a quote from another cleaner, just to check the price, and we were quoted $450.... I was hesitant to accept this price at first and so I phone the other tenants staying with me to discuss the issue. They then approached me and said they reconsidered and they think $750 is a more appropriate price. Fast forward to the end of their cleaning, the total bill charged us is back at $900.... So we'd agree on the price, then they changed it back to initial fee. Of course we had no choice but to accept their cost due to the threats from the real estate. All in all, Real Estate Connection is a terrible real estate business and the bond cleaner they recommend.
