We got Red Dog to do a custom canvas using some historical images of Annandale that we had and Red Dog had. I thought it was quite reasonably priced for a custom canvas. I did up a possible layout, and Greg came back with some other layouts which were better than what I had, and I selected one of those. We were very happy with the end product. We did notice some small bubbles in some parts of the canvas about 8 months later, which I believe is very rare. I took it back to them, and they made up a brand new canvas for us at no extra cost! Anyway, we 're very happy with the style and feel of their design that I haven't come across elsewhere.

We asked Red Dog design to create a custom.1.2m x 1.2m suburb square for us. We obviously assumed that if they couldn't do this they would tell us it wasn't possible. So when they accepted our order we assumed we would be getting a single 1.2m x1.2m canvas. what we got however, was two separate canvases joined together. This resulted in a warped canvas that doesn't sit flush to the wall and juts out in one corner. We also indicated we would like a lot of distressing on certain areas of the canvas, this did not occur. We decided to contact Red Dog about the issues we had with the canvas. They agreed to take it away to try & repair it, rather than redo it on a single canvas. After taking the canvas away for two weeks it was returned with distressing more in line with what we requested - however, not without it being pointed out to us that they wouldn't normally redo it - well, you know what, if you do what people ask in the first place, you wouldn't have to redo it! The returned canvas is still as warped as it originally was, but no further offer was made to try to fix it - the solution was to stick it to the wall with double sided tape! I am embarrassed to admit that this canvas cost us $800 - I shudder just thinking about it, I would never admit it cost this much to anyone who has seen it. When you charge someone $800 for a canvas, then I believe the least a person can expect is that they get a single canvas, especially when you consider how cheap a single canvas is. We should, at the very least, been asked if it was ok to do our custom job on two canvasses stuck together - at such point we could have pointed out to them that single canvases can easily be purchased! To say we are disappointed with the product we received, for the amount it cost, and with the attitude that we were somehow being dealt a favour, would be a massive understatement.
