I remember going to the Regatta back in my University days. It was a dingy little bar that closed early, kept "traditional" Sunday trading hours and had character. I always thought it was destined to be closed and turned into another Coronation Drive high-rise apartment complex.

So, I was pleasantly surprised that they renovated it, and gave it a new lease on life. It is a fun place to drink, to socialize, and even to eat.

Until I moved to the outer suburbs the Regatta was the favourite place to have a Sunday session.

If you're in the area, drop in for a beer, some food, and a great atmosphere!

Renovations to the Regatta Hotel after the 2011 floods have elevated its standing in a venue for after work drinks and food. The trio of chips (wedges, fries and sweet potato chips) with 3 different sauces is delicious and great to share between friends over a drink as I did. Their garlic pizza is also very nice and is great value at a large size for only $7. The Regatta is a nice place to sit around and have a chat over a drink especially with the high tales, low seats and couches surrounding the fire. Definitely recommend for a quiet drink out with close friends

Went here for a meal one evening. The atmosphere is great as is the decor. The meals were OK, although probably wouldn't go back for a main meal again. Great place for after work drinks however.

This is a well-known venue and as such is always busy. Lovely building from the outside, average on the inside. The most noteworthy and amusing feature is the one way glass in the mens bathroom - the guys can see outside but you can't see in. Freaks some guys out. Is a talking point the first time you go along.

The restaurant is very nice, food tastes good but the service is a little bit slow.

It's very central , easy to get there , Lot of public transport like bus and city cat

Interesting foods, taste great and the presentations are great too. I loved their service, as I've witnessed someone's birthday party, and the special little treat that they gave out. For busy nights, i wish they had a little more staff, but overall it was pretty good.
