We had a lovely and VERY large lunch at Bannisters as part of their Wednesday Lunch promotion....$60.00 per person for three courses. The food was absolutely delcious and the portions were very generous. The mussel entree was exceptional as was the Tuna entree. We had fish pie and a snapper dish for main, both were lovely. the deserts were very acceptable too. Even the baked on the premises sour dough bread with an amzing butter with Nori seaweed through it was delcious. The service was wonderful, competent, friendly and just the right amount of attention from weel trained, well presented waitsatff and the maitre'd was just great. The restaurant's location is stunning with beautiful ocean views. I would thoroughly reccomend this for a special occasion meal.

The food was AMAZING i have never tasted anything so good! It is expensive but I would be happy to go back for food this good. The staff were great very accommodating to our little boy.

Very appealing surroundings and decor however the $150 lobster was a large disappointment. Certainly not worth the large price. The menu contained little variety, with many dishes containing a mixture of hazelnuts and coriander to add flavour. Deserts were not a strong feature on the menu. Considering the alleged world class status of the head chef, the standard was disappointing and I regret to say that the quality of food before Rick Stein's introduction to the restaurant was of a much higher standard. Nevertheless, i am willing to try it again in the hope this was a one-off.
