I would definitely NOT recommend Ricky Nagel Coastal Fencing, not to my family or friends. We had him replace an existing boundary fence recently, he quoted for the length of the fence then built the fence much shorter than quoted, didn’t put in an end post and left the rails exposed (the boundary fence faces the street), he hired a jack hammer that he didn't quote for nor did he let us know, he just hired it and charged us $100. extra for it, there were 2 parts to our quote, 1 was for sleepers and 2 for the fence/tip fees, we emailed him the price accepted for the fence only (we were sharing the cost with our neighbour) and yet he went ahead and also put in the sleepers charging us for an extra sleeper, once again without communicating with us, yet some of the existing sleepers were not that bad, the other quotes we got from fence Contractors didn't quote for sleepers, we chose Ricky Ricky Nagel Coastal Fencing because he was easy to get along with and Ricky Nagel Coastal Fencing’s quote was the 2nd cheapest. He said the boundary fence to the front of the property didn't have a post because he ''doesn't always put in a post'', even though the fence he was replacing previously had a post , and he ''sometimes leaves the rails exposed'' and that he and the fence looks unfinished, he said he didn't construct the fence the whole length because there were lilly pilly tree roots in the way and that was our fault, we should have removed them, (only told us this after the fence was finished) but he had a jack hammer so why didn't he use it.....the previous fence contractor clearly had no trouble. Our neighbour is in dispute with us over the fence and has threatened to sue us because Ricky Nagel Coastal Fencing left a cement mess on his front lawn and left cement splashed over their pool fence. The neighbour did not share the cost of the sleepers or the $100.00 extra added to the invoice after the job was finished so we were slugged with paying it ourselves.
