We had the daily Yum Cha here for a friend's birthday. Food was average, but service was excellent. The fried rice and lemon chicken are good as takeaway dishes, so is the duck most of the time.

A yum cha daily menu vaties in quality from very good to very ordinary. there is a big variety to choose from trolleys which pass constantly. They also have a la carte and will produce dishes not on the yum cha menu on request. There steamed dumpling dishes are not as good as in the past because of the pastry which has become thicker. Several dishes that i particularly like include pork ribs and meat balls. Crisp skin roast duck is also goodFor the more adventurous chicken legs and tripe are good too. Two dessert dishes they do well are custard tarts and mango pudding. Prices are average. They have an indifferent wine list

My favourite place to get whole roast duck. I used to live around here and would buy roast duck for dinner every friday night. I've also eaten in the restaurant numerous times and tried so many different dishes. There was nothing that I didn't like. The seafoods are always fresh. Have tried their yum cha too and they were pretty good, not as many varieties as other places that specialises in yum cha but tastes quite comparable.

Bought takeaway as well as dined. On both occasions I was very happy with my meals. Good price for Prahran area. Good size meals and extremely fresh and tasty. Would highly recommend.

Went there today for lunch with some mates, had a yum cha, and it was very nice, service was prompt friendly and has a great family friendly astomphere. If you enjoy prawns with your yum cha then you will enjoy it more.

Their yum cha is great, they accommodate children no sweat, and there is a fish tank with live fish! Their seafood is the best, always excellent quality, but don't take people here who don't eat seafood as their other dishes aren't so outstanding. Fine, just not special in any way. This is one of the few places I take my mother-in-law...

Good local chinese restaurant with consistent quality. Yum cha is good but could do with more variety. It does get quite busy on the weekends so booking is recommended. They have the peking ducks and pork hanging near the window and fish swimming live in the tanks. This is one Chinese restaurant where you won't go home feeling like you've just swallowed a bag of salt.

Approximate cost: $20

Ripples is a great local chinese restaurant. The roast meats, particularly the roast duck are outstanding, and they do a good daily yum cha. However, the decor is a bit tired, and it can get quite noisy. The service is very efficient, and they are very child tolerant. The prices are very fair.
