There are some things people really value spending money on, like shoes or handbags. For me, it's my hair! I have been seeing Terri at Rixon for around six months and I absolutely love the way she has styled my hair. She listens to what I want but then puts a funky spin on it, which I love. I have on occasion been to other stylists at the salon and they all give the same excellent service. The colourists at the salon are also great, they always have fresh ideas and I'm really happy with my colour. They aren't pushy with products like some stylists can be - although I often buy the Kevin Murphy products once they use them in my hair as they are fantastic. They take the time to sit down and properly discuss what you want, I have never felt like I've been rushed. It's difficult to get in after work hours on weekdays so I usually have to travel 30 mins on a Saturday, but it's definitely worth it.

I'm not the kind if person to give five out of five lightly, but Rixon deserves it. I honestly can't think of one thing to mark them down on. I went there recently for the first time and had one of the best salon experiences I think I've ever had. It's a beautiful salon with friendly staff and all of the frills (wine, coffee, biscuits) but most importantly, the stylists are great! From what i could gather they're all very experienced and knowledgeable. I was given a proper consultation from my colorist who took the time to spend time with me looking at ideas on his iPad, followed by one of the best cuts I've ever had. And I got the chop.. I mean I went from below my shoulders length hair to a very short asymmetrical bob. Jenna did a fantastic job of it and again took the time to get it right. AND the final cost wasn't half as scary as I expected, very reasonable even for the calibre of salon. Very happy.

The staff at Rixon Hair are very friendly and professional. They take the time to talk about your hair and always have up to date styling and coloring ideas. They've won many awards, which puts your mind at ease. Great location in the city. Book ahead as they're often very busy.
