This place is worth a visit! We stopped here for lunch on the way through the Hunter and were amazed! Exceptional menu and reasonable prices. Staff were friendly and the place had a great vibe about it. We will be back and I would highly recommend!

We went there as part of a mid-sized party (approximately 20 people), and the place was busy. We were seated upstairs, and ordered the schnitzel and the lamb rump. The schnitzel came out with only chips (and not the salad requested), and the lamb rump had all the food detailed on the menu, but not in the way it seemed to describe. The rump was also overcooked so it was a little tough. The staff were really friendly and helpful and it's good value for money, but it wasn't amazing quality food. I'm not sure whether the number of diners there at the time (a Friday night) impacted it, and I'd happily go back if I was up that way again. The buy one get the second main half price next time you visit is a good idea too.

The staff were friendly and courteous and the kitchen seems very quick and organised. Took about 20 minutes from ordering to get our food.

Overall, very impressed, and will be dining again in the near future.

My girlfriend and I go the Federal for lunch every week after our volunteer duties. We enjoy the good service and the food for the $10 lunches.
