We stopped by on Friday evening for a quick steak and a beer. We stayed the entire night we were so happy with the open fire, the quality of the food and the bars ability to make a martini at the drop of a hat on a whim. We will be returning very soon.

Went at lunch time and the place was dead empty.Its really hard to see why this buisness is failing.It has a prime location but its going to waste.. just not good.

Went for a special lunch. First thing that struck us was how empty the bistro was. Weekends on Piper St are busy and most people are there to eat. Service was ok, food was also ok, although dishes like fish and chips were oily with a tiny and very bland serve of coleslaw and chips served in a small box. Vietnamese chicken salad lacked zing. Apparently steak was good.

Great food cooked to perfection. With the outdoor tables and chairs I cannot wait until the summer months when it will be great to sit outside and watch the world go by. being waited on with yummy food

Some of the best food I've eaten. Every course was fantastic, and quite reasonably priced for the standard of food. The hotel itself is a beautiful old building in an historic country town. Staff friendly and great selection of wines.

If you are a resident of Kyneton or are simply passing through, do your tastebuds a favour and make a booking at the Royal George. They use the best local produce availible and have an excellent selection to cater to everyones tastes. I eat out quite frequently and the Royal George is in my Top 10 of all time.
