After hearing of their 'Fair Go' policy I approached them to rent a laptop, as I am a year 2 University student. I do not have a credit history , which makes it impossible for me to get credit! (crazy, I know!) They knocked me back.
After actually bursting into tears when they called me to say NO, (after calling five of my friends and family, which was embarrassing but necessary, I suppose) they said maybe if I bought something small from them and had a perfect payment history they MIGHT reconsider after six months. I feel they are guilty of dishonest advertising, as they promise to give you a 'fair go', and their jingle goes 'you want it, and you want it NOW?', but i was refused, and told to wait six months to reapply.

When the heat wave hit south Australia i noticed that my fridge began to struggle. The milk started to go off which has never happened before. The ice block that i bought for the kids to enjoy after school were not freezing properly. They would partially freeze at night then thaw out during the day. It was ridiculous. I sent an application over the web for a new fridge on the Thursday. By early the next week I had a call from them I don't have the greatest of credit history and yet they were great at getting a new fridge that would suit the needs of my children and I. Other whitegood retailers would not look at me for rent to own, by they were great. The delivery guy was home before i was. They were great. Would recommend them to anyone
