Asked for 2 lots of $10 worth of chips, I was given one bag and was told it was two lots in the one bag I questioned the staff and they said yes it’s $20 I said this can’t be it’s so small they said this is what the boss says to do. Avoid this place save your money $8 for a 5kg bag of chips from HBW wholesaler and they serve this. Thought we’d give them a second chance from last time but no way kids running it no care dirty long hair no hats or hair nets health inspection coming up.

I have bought fish and chips here a few times, and hamburgers. The hamburgers are great. The fish and chips are cooked in trans fats - solidified oil, and that spoils them completely. A decent place would look after the health of its customers and use oil that is liquid at room temperature. Today I bought two pieces of fish amongst other things. The service was so slow. Generally, even when busy, it takes about 15 to 20 mins max. Today it took 35 minutes from the time I ordered, when I was told 20 minutes. The fish had a funny taste. I finally worked out that it had been handled with hands that had been touching raw fish, and that was the flavour. I also found a hair cooked into the batter - end of my meal, thanks very much. I would have taken it back, but I tugged at the hair wondering if it was my own, and it pulled out of the batter, but it had been cooked into it. I never see anyone wearing gloves in there, and they handle all the food. And the raw fish flavour on my fish batter proves they don't wash their hands and have little regard for contamination. I won't be going back after today. And the council should inspect their practices discreetly, by just making a purchase.

Probably the best Fish&Chips we ever had. The shop does not look spectacular (it is a nice little Fish&Chips store) but the food definitely is. Very good service, too! In case you go to Maryborough make sure you stop at Sandy's :-)

The service is fast and the fish and chips are the best in town. The chicken salt that they use on their chips is the best i've ever tasted.
