Hi sir/madam, this is Manjot singh live in perth Western Australia, I went to Scarborough Toyota few days before ,for old Toyota Camry 2019 (1hph908)I check with the staff about car, and price of the car, but I want that car to be financed, and I talk to the guy regarding this, is name is gligor dzonob, his contact number is (0450028224) he told me you need to deposit $1000 to hold that car than we will let you know about the interest rate and all the formalities, and I wanted to know, what about the money? if I will not happy with the interest rate: he told me our finance department will let you know with in a few days but if you will not happy with the interest rate we will give your money back, and after few days they send me quotation of that car and interest rate was 15.95%, and I was not happy to pay that much interest, according to that wording with Gligor, I told him to return my $1000 deposit but he did not stuck on his words he told me, no you need to buy this car from us now otherwise we are not giving you $1000 back, I went to the office today and talk to manager of the bank I am not sure about the name of that guy, but he was too rude with me, and strait away he told me you will not get that money back, and do what ever you can. So I just wanna say to you guy’s that is not right way to deal with customers, and I am bit stressed because of this, please notice this issue on priority and let me know about the next step,
Thanks

Hello Manjot,

As the distributor for Toyota here in WA we cannot intervene in the actions of our dealers who are independent businesses.

However, I have spoken to Michael OGrady the sales manager about the Camry you are buying. Unfortunately if you have signed an offer to purchase the vehicle, you are liable to purchase the vehicle from the dealership.

If you are unhappy with the finance, you do have the option to seek finance elsewhere that suits you.

Please DO NOT buy a Car from Scarboro Toyota.

Do not put your trust in them and DO NOT give them your money.

Unfortunately had to learn the hard way. Buyers beware - All the Bad reviews are correct!
Scarboro Toyota are a very untrustworthy!!!

When buying any car safety is everything!

Triple check everything and then get an independent mechanic in to check again BEFORE signing a binding car contract.

The auto industry now has lots of scammers all happy put your life at risk just to make money.

If you feel something is not right- Walk away now!.

I was trying to buy a used vehicle from them and it seemed to be progressing well until I got the third party inspection report.
Despite the fact the vehicle has supposedly been serviced the oil was black and level low, the tyres were unevenly worn, wheels not aligned, clutch fluid old and dirty, etc
There were also some fairly major aesthetic and presentation issues that were not made clear to me in phone conversations or the online ad.
They also tried to sell me a "nationwide extended Toyota warranty" on a 25 year old vehicle which my local dealer informed me does not exist as they presented it and also contrary to their statement does not fully cover parts and labour.
I made the salesman aware of these issues and he kept trying to put me off and get me to reconsider. he would not negotiate price despite the fact that the vehicle was not a condition I would have bought it.
they then offered to fix the roadworthy items which should have been done anyway but no discount, would not replace other parts that I would have expected to be done and would not take the warranty plan out of the contract
I then had to go through a day process to cancel and get a refund which they were very reluctant to give and still have not sent a receipt so I cant tell if the money was returned.
DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM IF YOU WANT HONESTY!!!!

Approximate cost: $30000

From Ryan through to James and Trinity in finance the service was second to none, they helped me through every step, working with me based on what I wanted, not pushing. They handled everything to a tee. The place is a hive of activity and every single person working there who saw me sitting and waiting (never for long) would politely make ask me if I needed anything. Professional outfit, thank you Scarborough Toyota.

Scarboro Toyota, Very Very Poor Service Department and Service Department Manager.
My vehicle was booked in for a service on the 1st week June 2017, so I could have a loan vehicle as I run my own business. I dropped off my car on the 22/6/2017 arrived and booked in by 7:30 am. I was informed by Zac the vehicle would be ready at 4pm, I said no, and requested my vehicle ready for 3pm as I had a Cardiologist Appointment at 4 pm in Joondalup.
I arrived at 3:40 pm and spoke to service a agent Mr Lamb, he looked for my car to only come back and inform me "Your vehicle is not quite ready and to come back at 5 pm and my car would be ready. I was disappointed and asked " Why didn't someone call me as now I will be late for my appointment and walked out.
After my appointment I drove back to Scarboro Toyota, only to be told that my car had not been serviced at all. I was angry and asked why??, I was told by Zac he didn't know why, I said I would
like to speak to the service manager. Zac walked into his office and informed him , I saw another service staff member put his eyes up into his head and shake his head. The service manager came to me NO introduction he said Sorry your vehicle wasn't done, I asked why?, he said we dropped the ball I replied that's not good enough, he said we will wave the $149 service fee, I said I wasn't going to pay for it anyway after being inconvenienced on 2 occasions.
He said come back tomorrow and the car would be done, I said based on your Service Department record there is no guarantees of that being met, he said AT LEAST YOU HAVE A LOAN CAR, I said oh gee thanks for that , I then said that I'm trying to run my own printing business and cannot affect any more time off as I've already wasted 3 hrs with no result.
I said that You would need to organise to drop my car off and collect your loan vehicle in Malaga. To which he replied so your telling me you can't come back in from 8am-5pm at all. I then said NO and said again I'm trying to run my own business, he then said " It's either the free service or the loan car and not a drop off , You choose! what you want to do. I said it's time for the Dealer Principal to be informed. He said ok walked down to the showroom and came back, he then angrily grabbed a piece of paper and said loudly " WHERE DO WE HAVE TO DROP THE CAR OFF AT " to which I gave him my address. I then asked him what had changed in his mind since walking away?? his reply " I just want this to be resolved" I said you could have saved the shouting and arguing with a customer and as I said earlier it was the least thing that Scarboro Toyota Service Department should and could do.
I had my car dropped off at 12 noon. No apology letter no service voucher nothing. So I called Toyota Regional in Welshpool spoke to Linda and Merilyn fantastic people , I was then told
Tony Newman would call me as soon as they investigated and spoke with the Service Manager and call me in a few days time, after a few weeks I called back, Tony Newman then called me back basically saying he spoke with the service manager and I quote " they had a busy day" then blamed Zac for being young and new, and that Mr Lamb should have checked better, as he has been there for a longer period of time. I then said that's no excuse the manager should have handled the situation alot better and needs to be stood down for a week or 2 and re trained in customer service and how to handle clients.
He said what do you want me to do, I asked him ....with no reply how he would feel. I said look you sound really laid back and unconcerned so we will end it.
I then called Toyota Australia and made a complaint about the way 2 Toyota Managers had spoke and handled my situation....A girl from Scarboro Toyota Page called me the next day, Friday 7th July, to again only to discuss what had taken place and what outcome I would like basically I told her what how a client had been dealt with and that's all that happened we talked, I suggested and said to Page to move forward can Scarboro Toyota do the log book service next time for nothing, as she informed me the $149 special was different to a logbook service I told her I never knew nor was told at time of booking in the car there was a difference, as the reason for the service was a RECALL FROM TOYOTA AUSTRALIA. Page said "We already did the service for nothing, as I said to her "THATS BECAUSE THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT DID NOTHING IN THE FIRST PLACE FOR 10 HOURS OF HAVING THE VEHICLE ,!!. I then said ok we will leave it then ... then she said and I quote 'IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE WE CAN DO FOR YOU" SERIOUSLY PAGE.
WHAT A WAY TO DEAL WITH A CUSTOMER.....
Worried that Page would call Toyota Australia and say she had called and spoke to me (not giving them maybe any true correspondence) I immediately called Toyota Australia Complaints Department and Spoke with Tom who said he would pass onto Calvin what was discussed with Page.
On my initial complaint with Calvin he asked me as to what outcome I thought would be suitable and informed him the next logbook service free of charge...
I again informed Toyota Australia that I was and am still not satisfied with the discussion nor the outcome, with any manager.
On 2 occasions one with the Scarboro Service Manager and Tony Newman, I requested that I would like Daniel Davis to call me to discuss this matter , YES I am still waiting...
Daniel Davis is the Dealer Principal , no need to bother now, obviously not important enough.
BY THE WAY SCARBORO TOYOTA, THIS IS NOT NEAR FROM BEING RESOLVED
ACTUALLY FAR FROM IT .

The used car I got from here had massive engine failure 2 weeks after 3 month warranty expired and they basically said that's the risk with a 2nd hand car.

I bought a second hand corolla from the second hand area. The person didn't even know which car i was looking for and brought me to a camry in the beginning. During registration to transfer the vehicle, they registered my car as a manual instead of an automatic. To think i only found out a couple months ago. Few months later, I brought my car for servicing since they had capped price servicing, and they mentioned to me that everything is fine. They named every component and said it's all fine. I went to check my tyres and it was all gone. They could have at least told me that the tyres should be changed. A few weeks ago i called to ask for quotes on extras i was deciding to install on my car. They never got back to me. Honestly, don't go there.

i decided to go to scarborough toyota as previously my aunty has purchased a car here and i though it would be a good idea if we purchased our cars at the same place. so i purchased my toyota camry atara s from scarboro toyota in december 2012 it was an alright experience however i felt they were quite pushy when selling the paint protection tinting etc. in march of 2013 my aunty needed a new car so i recommended her to go to scarboro toyota as when i picked up my car the sale-man said if i brought another customer to them there would be a spotters fee "incentive" so before we came in i rang the management to clarify and this was in fact confirmed. while the deal for her new corolla was made everything was promised to us "yes you will get your spotters fee on pickup of the car" but after the contract was signed nothing was mentioned about a spotters fee and they always tried to not mention it. the car was picked up about 3 weeks ago and i have still not received my spotters fee even though was promised that i will get it when the new car was picked up. i am not upset that i did not receive my little sum of money i am just upset at the lack of professionalism shown and how all they were interested in was to just "seal the deal" and after that not keep their promises four cars in our family were purchased here but i am never returning back to scarboro toyota ever again.
