Lots of hands on activities for children to do, Does your child want to swing on a Star - Well they can sit on one here. What about an interesting picture or too of different things. There is even a Sports area where you can get timed in running a race or throwing a basketball.

Always plenty to see and do here. Why not look at the Powerhouse.

There is a good outside playground and for a bit extra money you can visit the Planetarium or the Lightening Room.

Brilliant entertainment for the whole family! Plenty of entertainment to warrant multiple trips each year. Low cost $10 adults and children are free, or with a concession card even adults are free. School holiday programs operate in VIc school holidays, " Little Kids Days" once every month or so to give the preschoolers a chance to explore without schoolies. Loads of fun for everyone :)

Approximate cost: $10 adults kids are free

Definetly need more places like this for pre-schoolers and primary school kids. The place always has something to do for the kids and they are never tired to run around the centre.

Fantastic place for a few hours of entertainment for the children. Food is limited and is quite expensive. Most of the special exhibits I have seen there have been excellent although with a family its can be quite pricey!

Great place to take the kids (or adults) for a fun day out.

Lots of education and fun activities for all to do.

Best to take your own food/drinks as it can be expensive and the cafe has a limited range.

I took my 2 daughters (10 & 12) here in the last few days and it was great. They have so much to do for the kids and the parents. It was really cheap to get in but they get you in the Cafe. Just over $38 for the 3 of us for lunch. Another thing i experienced here and wasn't very happy with, was the unisex toilets. I don't mind the little kids coming in with their mother's but when u have a man standing beside you in the waiting line, it was very uneasy. I felt very uncomfortable. Was not a fan of this. Overall, we have a great day.

Approximate cost: $68

This is a great museum. My husband and I had heaps of fun there, so did our children. Heaps of things there that you can actually touch and test. They also have a dinosuar area, as well as the planetarium. Every few weeks they also have old steam trains and other heavy machinery, great for Thomas the tank fans" Entry fee for children is just $5.00

Approximate cost: $7.50 for adults
