This is a lovely, happy little place which brought a smile to my son's face. Very friendly staff.

I have been going to this cinema for 15+ years. I love that they provide crying rooms for parents with young children. Slightly higher prices then competitive cinemas, but I would rather go here to support a smaller business and travel longer.

This is a fantastic cinema. I have been going here to watch movies since I was a child. I now bring my kids here. Reasonably priced and very clean.

This cinema has been around since I was a teenager! Of course it is never going to directly compare to one of the bigger chain cinemas but it's nice to have an option closer to home compared to travelling in to Newcastle. The decor itself is sort of dated and the seats are getting old but I really appreciate the availability of a crying room which is the only way I can convince my husband to come to a movie with myself and our little one. Tickets are reasonably priced, snacks less so, sound and picture quality are satisfactory.

Tickets are $13 2d, $16-50 in 3D and bargain days on Mondays and Tuesdays at $9 for 2D and $12-50 for 3D. Seats were comfortable with plenty of leg room. They also had a 'crying room' for parents with upset children. Toilet facilities were just ok and felt they were a bit busy to spare a 'toilet check'. Staff not overly friendly or helpful and as in most cinemas, the shop was pricey.

Scotty's is overpriced at $13 per adult ticket compared to other larger cinema's like Reading and Hoyts. Often don't show less popular movies (District 9 was never shown, and I loved it). They get the uncommonly known movies 2 weeks after they've been released elsewhere, and the only movies that come out on time are the big ones. Confectionary is very expensive. The only good thing going is close, free parking.

Approximate cost: $13

I think people often forget that this cinema is a small business and are outraged by the price of the tickets (comparing them to larger cinema chains). Small businesses have to charge a little extra most of the time.
