I had a friend coming down from Toowoomba unexpectedly on Easter Sunday on the Greyhound Bus. He had asked if he could stay with us for a night. He offered to get a cab to my house at Tarragindi. I said "No, its only 10 minutes away and the streets are empty, its a public holiday, I'll pick you up".
We parked at 3pm - the carpark was very empty. We went to the bus area, met out friend and were back paying for the parking at 3.35pm.There was no staff at the exit and we had to pay at a machine. Knowing how much airport parking is we expected it not to be cheap, but the cost came up on the screen $24 for 35 minutes. I nearly died. Not wanting to make it obvious to my friend, I just used my credit card as I didn't want him to see me having to shove $24 into the machine. I wont be doing that again !
