We went to Sel et Poivre for our last French class for the year and had a wonderful time. Not only did we get to practise our French but the food was excellent and the atmosphere was very "French". Not the cheapest of restaurants - after all French restaurants have a reputation for not being so - but definitely worth repeated visits!

Visiting Sydney with friends and decided we'd like to go French for dinner. This restaurant was recommended by another local friend who joined us. Atmosphere was good although wait staff seemed to be a little disorganised at times. Wasn't busy when we arrived but tempo picked up after a while. Menu offered great choices and between us we had a range of dishes including escargot, goat's cheese salad, beef cheeks, rabbit, steak and duck, not to mention several desserts. I have had better escargot but the rabbit was delicious. A couple of bottles of French red topped it off. All up, a pretty good night and pretty decent food.

I was quite scared when i when to this cafe/restaurant I haven't tried French food before. I was so surprised of the food, I was having lunch and I had a chicken baguette that was amazing the different flavors and texture in it made it for me. I'm a regular now and I'm never disappointed. The deco of the place is very welcoming.

AMAZING, regular customer can't get enough of the Barramundi on a bed of Rissotto or the Pepper Steak! Try the Blue cheese for entree. Dessert, you can not go past the chocolate Fondant.

This is one of my favourite French restaurants. It's very quaint, warm and cosy. Beautiful range of food in a central location (on Victoria Street near Oxford Street). Highly recommend.
