For the long queues and wait time try to avoid it and do as much as you can on the internet or the phone and save yourself the hassle

Having to visit this government office a number of times recently for motor vehicle matters, it is disappointing that the waiting times are so long. It is not correct for the staff to need to work under such pressure. Even so, the staff are friendly and competent and really help. Registered our car, cancelled registration on old car, received new plates and ordered special plates so we certainly took up a great deal of time. Also paid a lot of money at the end of the transactions. (we did expect that)
