My son has gone to a number of swim lessons at Shapland Ipswich. I was disappointed to note that they do not cater for separate change facilities for the genders. I spoke to the owner at the school and and was even more taken aback by the fact that he seemed to be surprised and even irate that I would even ask about this. So I asked for (at least) a partial refund and was told in an equally glib manner that that was out of the question.

So to this effect I emailed Shapland Swim Schools enquiring about their change room facilities.
This was several days back, I've had no reply.
In fact I don't foresee that I will get a reply. Similarly, Shapland does not publish any reader's comments on their FB page.

I feel my concern is legitimate - my son is 8 years old and he feels embarrassed having to undress in front of strangers let alone females. So the solution according to Shapland is for us to either wait until everyone is done or we need to dry ourselves off and then use the toilet. At a swim school ??!!

Furthermore, it's the manner in which my complaint has been dealt with that upsets me.
So if this is the way they do business I for one won't.

These guys are great. Had my daughter swimming here for a few months. In those short months she learnt so much. Will deffinately recommended to everyone, small classes and very affordable.
