Service was pretty disappointing, took a while for our food to come out, our BBQ pork buns never showed up so we ended up canceling which they were not very happy about. Not very friendly and inviting and food was ok but nothing special. We ordered the roast duck pancakes which serves 2. It cost $35, it is nice and probably the only thing I would recommend. The actual restaurant set up is quite nice with an open kitchen for all to see. Don't think I will be in a hurry to go back

We really enjoyed our time here. Yes, it was a really busy Friday night but the host at the counter was very polite & friendly and found us a table quickly. I would recommend the Peking Pancakes, they were excellent and authentic. Service was impressive and good value so we'll be back again. PS - they are also in the Entertainment book that offers a 25% discount!

Great food, reasonable price. They have some special running for the weekdays, etc. staffs are friendly but sometimes there were not enough staffs on the floor so you have to be patient.
My fave is the seafoods noodle.

Not too expensive, and quite a nice cozy restaurant, though the staff seemed to be a bit preoccupied the night i went, couldnt seem to find anyone to bring me the bill when the meal was finished despite trying to catch someone's eye for 10 minutes

My partner and I recently dined at Shò and were extremely impressed with everything! The quality of the food was a pleasant change to the normal stall or market quality of the ingredients in a noodle soup! Everything is clearly made from scratch and they clearly take care in preparing all of their ingredients. One thing that I found interesting from other reviewers here on womow is that a lot of them said they experienced poor service. My partner and I had the complete opposite experience to this. They had an extremely full restaurant and we hadn't made a reservation on a busy Friday night, however they managed to find room for us and get us seated within minutes. We had menus brought over to us straight away and were explained the specials for the night. We had a few different waiters throughout our time there, but each was very polite and attentive. We noticed that some other tables had little pots of chilli, soy, vinegar, etc, and we fancied them so we asked a waiter if it would be possible to get some. He went around the entire restaurant and sussed out who had almost finished their meal and politely asked them if he could take their condiments for another table, they obviously accepted as he quickly brought it over to us with a smile. This was very much appreciated!
I gave Shò 5 stars for value as we had the 'create your own noodle soup' meal, and felt that for being able to pick three accompaniments (even all seafood items if you wish!), your own noodles and choice of soup, dining in a fantastic atmosphere with fresh, tasty food in one of the most expensive venues in Melbourne... $14.50 was an absolute steal! I had a laksa with udon noodles, tofu, roast duck and chicken and my partner had beef brisket soup with vermicelli noodles, roast duck, crispy pork belly, and assorted seafood, both were divine!
We plan on going back to Shò again in the near future, and will comment back here on how the service compared to last time, as perhaps they have updated their staff since the other reviews. I can't however comment on the actual main course options as we decided we felt like noodles, and were happy to pay less for them.

Approximate cost: $14.50

Not much has changed in terms of service, there still needs to be some improvement with the staff needing to pay more attention to the diners. Food is still number 1, can't fault it, let's hope they improve with the service

Sho Noodle Bar was one of the best dining experiences that I have ever had. The food quality was delicious and the staff were so friendly. We went there for a friends birthday in a group of six and we could not fault it. Our meals all came out together and the staff were so attentive. we will definitely be going back to Sho!

The food is very nice, the service is terrible, many staff working but none of them come up to you. From the minute you arrive you end up standing at the front for 5 to 6 minutes before someone greets you, you then get seated and again need to get the waiters attention for a drink and the best thing to do is place your food order at the same time as one they leave your table you then need to wait and wait before they come back. Finally when you get up to pay at the front counter it is another waiting game, what is their problem do they not want to serve their customer??? Pity considering the food is nice.

Great food and a good menu. What lets this place down is the lack of service. Once you walk in you do not get any service, I waited 20 minutes before calling out to a staff member to serve me. There seems to be a lack of staff and a lot of confusion going on in the kitchen area as you can see them cooking and hear the chaos.

If only Sho Noodle bar lived up to first impressions! The interior design definitely has the wow factor and the staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. The concept is great too-a pan-asian menu with very interesting sounding dishes and an amazing tea menu which you order as you would fine wine. Unfortunately once the food starts arriving it is all downhill. The tables are very small, and have lots of ornaments and other items on them, and the serving dishes are large, with dishes designed for sharing-not a very practical combination. The flavor of the food ranged from bland to very average, with the quality below that of a good local Malaysian restaurant, and prices considerably higher. The fact that you have to walk through the Casino to get there and are in the midst of the main gaming area can also be seen as a negative.
