went here for breakfast, food was great eggs were so soft mushrooms and bacon were yummy the greens & leaves were SO salty though

staff were absolutely lovely, the wait for the food was short but the place was packed and cramped

quite pricey i have to admit, but i guess if it involves the place being a 'no-rubbish' ecofriendly one i'm willing to support it

I had a delicious breakfast here yesterday - I ordered the oats - totally like it! I was very impressed! The food is well presented! The service was very good and friendly staff. This place has a good vibe. Great cafe! Definitely will be back!

Very interesting food. Ingredients are paired together and cooked in a new contemporary style. Imagine asparagus spears with a velvety duck egg yolk and smattering of crunchy nuts & seeds.
Servings are on the small side, but this is a quality meal to slowly savour. Not the type of meal that you would rush down in a few mouthfuls for the purpose of satisfying the stomach. More of a wholesome, intellectual dining experience.

Approximate cost: $15

This is the permanent fixture similar to the 'Greenhouse' pop-up (Melbourne Food and Wine Festival) aptly known as a 'zero-waste cafe'.

Open Monday to Saturday serving breakfast, lunch and evening bites (Thursday – Saturday) and offers breads and pastries made from flour milled fresh on site, fresh salads, soups and grain based dishes. Suppliers are local and organic really makes everyone think twice about the way we should live and operate sustainably. I won't bore everyone about the details but Silo has really put a great level of smart design and function into making this the greenest cafe in Melbourne!

As I drink my coffee and nibble on my sandwich gazing at the artwork on display I think I am putting my money where it should go - into daring, creative ideas that work towards something beneficial for the future.

I will definitely be back, a great cafe experience!
