my go to place for pizza. toppings are generous, crust is crispy and chewy but not too thick. great service. once I went back 4 times in one week. My place for pizza in Melbourne. Mexicana and roast veg rock the house. Better than any gourmet pizza in melbourne.

We have 'adopted' Sinners as one of our two must go to restaurants. Treated very well by the friendly staff. Chefs are happy to comply with allergy needs; Generous serves and excellent quality. The macarons make a great little dessert after the slightly over-sizedmains.

Don't bother with their Risottos! This is the second time I've been here and disappointed both times. The 1st time I tried the pumpkin risotto and found it too mushy and wet with very little flavour. My partner didn't mind his pasta.
2nd time I tried the chicken & mushroom risotto and again the rice too mushy. In fact the rice is almost like mashed potato consistency and can barely see resemblance to arborio rice shape. The chicken in it was nice so it was like the rice sits in a rice cooker for a long time before adding the selected sauce. Both times I couldn't finish my meal. Now I've had many risottos in my life and will not be bothering here again.

A friend and I recently went in for lunch for the first time and were WOW'ed by the service and quality. Our server was friendly and immediately made space for my rather large pram without a fuss. The menu is quite large and mainly pasta or pizza options, but a large enough variety to suit everyone's taste. We selected a pasta with Marinara sauce and a pasta with a chicken and mushroom sauce. Both of us were very impressed - my friends marinara came with a generous amount of beautiful seafood and smelled divine. Mine was tortellini in a lovely creamy mushroom sauce - delicious. Both of our portions were quite large and tasty...yum ! The food is high quality, the venue well lit with comfy seating and the service polite and prompt. The prices are a bit high for pasta - but I don't mind paying a bit more for high quality and good service. If you have a choice between Sinners Family restaurant and La Porchetta as both are in the same general area - go with this one - while they are both pizza and pasta family style restaurants, this one is better by a long shot. Our only disappointment is they were out of gluten free pasta the day we visited as it was so good we were going to get take-a-way for a friend. Highly recommend for families, couples or as a spot for a business lunch - we were there at an "off" time and there were still quite a few people in the restaurant - a good sign that the locals are aware of it.

Approximate cost: $17

interesting to read about this place! I had been told of it by a friend who says they make good pizzas and now reading your review ... just confirms what I heard ... very handy to know of good local restaurants, thanks for sharing!
