Sadly my dealings with this company started out well but very quickly descended into sheer incompetence.
I was not given a sample or record of the colours I had chosen. I chose two but only one was delivered.
I ordered three blinds for one room but only two were quoted on.
Two men came at seperate times to measure so that everything was accurate, the blinds still didn't fit when they arrived.
I advised the installer that there should be nine cream blinds and one grey.
He just went ahead and installed the lot without checking. The blinds delivered were all grey.
Afterwards they denied all responsibility and it was my job to check their work via an extremely convoluted quote that was impossible to decipher on a small screen.
This wasn't the cheapest quote I had but I now wish I had chosen another company.

Our experience with Solomon's is that they do not run their business very smoothly. We encountered problems from the beginning and miscommunication between their company was very evident. Our door installation took 6 goes to get it correct, leaving us with inconvenience and annoyance. The manager Joe was very rude to us on the phone. We did not appreciate his manner or tone in dealing with his customers. Its pleasing to note that right at the very end he admitted we hadn't been treated well. How disappointing it came to that. Our last installer was efficient and finally achieved the job but we will never be recommending this company to anyone. We are not sure how they're still running if as their workers say much, much of their business is like this. They need to review their practices.

This is our second time around with Clearshield and Solomons. The first time our builder recommended them and this time we went to them directly. As second time customers we were immediately offered a 10% discount which was much appreciated. We went back because of the excellent service and product on our first install some 10 years ago. This time we had a much trickier situation with arched doorways to be security screened. The Clearshield was to be fitted to pre-existing custom made black powder coated aluminum frames (40 mm square section) which sat inside the arched brick double door front entry. The first (male) salesperson from Solomons 10 years ago said it could not be done and the first quote from a (male) salesperson this time more or less implied that our expectations were too high and we felt as though we were being discouraged from attempting to have this product installed in this situation. However, when Rads Popazivanov (female) looked at it, she felt that although difficult it would be achievable, with a good cosmetic outcome and the usual solid security offered by Clearshield. It did take two attempts at installation to get it right (at no extra cost to us) and the end result looks and works brilliantly. Sales people and installers were always on time and communicated well, despite coming from Cleveland to Caboolture. Overall, as well as the excellent service, the product is good value for money. Our original Clearshield installation is still in place, working well and looking good. We would thoroughly recommend them and if we have a need for more Clearshield, Solomons and Rads will be our first port of call. (Written by a male reviewer)

Ordered three Sorrento shutters from Solomans. On delivery one was too large - wrong measuring by them. One other had ten faults/scratches which installer attempted to "polish out". On rerutn of the one which was too big, one of the blades had a large scratch on it and the plastic fitting for the blades had sprung. I complained and it was taken away, as well as the one they had tried to "polish out" the scratches/faults. I was then given misinformation on when the shutters would be returned and wasted days waiting. When I suggested to the arrogant sales manager that all the inconvenience I had been caused and time wasted that a good will discount would be in order I was told that it cost Solomans money to fix up their mistakes and so not discount of even $25 on the total of 2700.00. Their quality control is appalling and their workmanship is at best average. Avoid them!!
