1 review about Something For Jess

The fun name of this cafe instantly caught my eye. Who is Jess?? Walking inside the decor and furniture look recycled from the old style cash register they use , to the tables and chairs, lots of vintage shelves used to store books, quirky but fun. A friend of mine who took me here told me the cafe was named after the owner's partner " Jess".

They offer great coffee, sandwiches, toast, juice, different cakes etc but the menu changes daily, so what you order today may or may not be here tomorrow.

I opted for a latte to start, which had the right kick and milky creaminess I was craving, a wagyu sandwich and my friend opted for spiced meatballs with pecorino cheese, salsa verde and sourdough bread... it looked amazing. Big chunky meatballs , lots of oozy pecorino cheese on top, rich tomatoe sauce. Utterly delicious.

I noticed another diner had ordered juice and it comes served in a big glass jam jar..pretty cute! Great service, daily changing sandwich menu and weekly menus which constantly change , great portion sizes and price wise being in Chippendale, food is fresh and vibrant, quirky furniture and decor , will definitely be back!
