In terms of service, Summerville Smash Repair did a good job of repairing my front door panel. However, I was utterly surprised when I opened my car boot and found out it was filled with pieces of car materials which I don't know where/whom it belonged. Unfortunately, when I called them, the business was closed due to Christmas and New Year's break, and now these unforeseen circumstances left me with the task of disposing of these car materials.

Disgusting attitude and very rude.
Was booked through RACQ for repairs.
They damaged a part of the car that had nothing to do with the repairs. When questioned about it they became rude and yelling in my face. They admitting to touching the part of the car when they shouldn’t have however said they would take no responsibility for the damage they have done. Had to get it fixed elsewhere. Two grown men, yelling in a young woman’s face. Trying to belittle her. Disgusting. You should be ashamed of yourselves

I may have given a good review here for the repair done as an insurance claim, however I added a respray to the front on my car to remove stone chips. I was given a quote that included removal of headlights and front guards, etc., which lead me to believe they were painting the bonnet and front of my car like I had asked for. When I picked the car up only the bonnet had been painted and there are still a million stone chips on the front bumper so the hundreds of dollars I paid to have it painted looks insignificant. I suggest you be very specific in making sure they understand what you want and question any quotes to be very clear that you are getting what you are paying for. There was a massive communication problem here that they have put back on me......although when I asked them if they thought it was odd that I would only want my bonnet painted when I asked for all stone chips to be removed they didn't have an answer!!!! I am SO DISAPPOINTED and have WASTED a lot of MONEY.

We went out there today to get a quote for some work on the panel of the car. Peter was the one we dealt with and he was very courteous and friendly. He sent us a prompt reply for the work that needed to be done on the panel .

My Car was severely damaged by Hail with not a single panel being missed. I was concerned by the reviews on this site. My concerns were not warranted as the team at Sommerville Smash Repairs at Nerang, have returned by 5 year old vehicle in pristine condition. The paint is perfectly matched and being metallic paint I feared would show the new paint work. The dent removal was fantastic, new panels and roof replaced. Car looks brand new. The staff at Sommerville have been fantastic, keeping me informed at all times. From the date I received my confirmed commencement date to the return of my vehicle was on time. As upset as I was about the damage to my vehicle, I cannot thank Sommerville Smash Repairs enough for the excellent Service.

I would not even rate this company half a star. The first time I rang Sommerville Smash repairs , CommInsures nominated insurer, to make an appointment for an assessor to have a look at my car, I was greeted by a very rude person. I overlooked this and thought -'it's ok, someone is having a bad day' That should have set the alarm bells going. When I took my car to have repair work done, I was again greeted by another rude person at the reception. I was then informed by yet another rude person who came in to take my car to the workshop, when I queried the insurers excess fee, that it was not his problem but an issue between me and my insurer. He said to me that he was very busy and had lots of work to do. At this response I decided that my car was not going to get repaired by a firm who has no time for their customers.

Performed extensive repairs to my vehicle under insurance. There was a run in the paintwork on the roof which they informed me about and said they would fix at my convenience, however the fresh paint was badly mismatched/not blended on the bumper, there was a gap between one of the tail light surrounds and the quarter panel due to poor fitting of the panel, and whoever buffed it burnt the hell out of the clear coat. Would not use again.
