The food is Devine here. We had the crab salad for entree and the steak for mains and the Pumokin pie for desert. It's one of the best places I've eaten out at in a long time. It overlooks the city and the main beach in southbank. It's also family friendly.

We went here on Saturday night for my partners work Xmas party! It was a 3 course meal. We had entree of calamari it was the best calamari I've had ever, the size of the entree was massive could of been the main meal. We had fish and chips for the main meal and it was amazing too. Wasn't too keen on the chips, very thin abit like mcdonalds chips. But the fish was amazing. Then we had Turkish delight for desert. This wAs our first time here and we were really impressed and will be back again. It overlooks the main beach pool so it is so relaxing and looks great

I ate here a while ago (maybe over a year ago) and it was fantastic, but recently I had the worst experience. I went with a group and we had pre-ordered. When we arrived, they asked if they could bring out the mains with the entrees, which is not really the idea! Then when we said 'no', it seemed like a real hassle. We ended up waiting an hour for the entree and another hour for the mains and the restaurant was only maybe half full. No one came around with water or offering more drinks and when the food arrived, all of us that had ordered crab found it inedible. It was disgraceful.

They don't sound very accomodating, thanks for the heads up.

Really nice atmosphere sitting by the beach at southbank, overlooking the water and having a few drinks with friends. Food at the bar is great, food in the restaurant is a little bit disappointing and over priced.

The Surf Club has an amazing location and is close to unbeatable when the weather is just so. It overlooks the lagoon at South Bank, and across the river to the city, it's very picturesque. The menu is extensive and they have oodles of fresh seafood, which you can all see sitting on ice in the kitchen, it looks incredible.

The wait staff were lovely, just attentive enough and knowledgable about the menu. It was a little out of my comfortable price range but the crusted scallops I had (an entree) were divine. Would try this place again for a special occasion!

Approximate cost: $25
