Would have given zero stars if possible as our gorgeous dog who had been a patient at South Eastern Vet Clinic for years suddenly became very unwell and was unable to walk, lost movement in all her legs , and was crying in pain . We rang the clinic to be told they were booked out and to try somewhere else . Reception person was not rude but very unhelpful and even gave us push back when trying to book an appointment for the next day in the event we could not get an appointment with another vet . Another vet clinic who was also booked out kindly said to bring her straight up and they would fit her in . I rang the next day to ask Vet Amanda from South East Clinic to contact me to discuss this extremely poor service but I have had no response . We will never use this clinic again and will inform others of this stressful event.

One of the best ACL surgery (done in 2019 for a medium sized dog) pricewise and in terms of success.

The pet took a while to stabilise post surgery . But now nearly one year on the leg is perfect.
While this surgery is popular elsewhere there are few who provide it around . The other usual surgeries cost around $5000 or more. WE followed the exact instructions post surgery and the recovery has been excellent.

I would recommend Dr Scott and the clinic.

Approximate cost: $1500

***Cruciate Surgery Warning*** My dog had a suspect very minor torn knee ligament. One of the vets said most likely we should operate. In oder to do the right thing and being so trusting, Without any further tests and confirmation they did a surgery and basically crippled a perfectly healthy dog. They offered ZERO post operational instructions and no proper follow up proper diagnosis and proper followups to see why she never walked again. Every-time I took her in they said she is just avoiding walking and had short 2 minute visits. In and out here goes the next patient. 3 years on our little girl still cant walk and developed serious arthritis from the surgery (not the injury itself). D o not take your dog to this Vet for cruciate surgery our dog will be compromised permanently. They sound very nice and caring but having learnt how things are done elsewhere for this routine operation they SHOULD NOT be allowed to perform this type of surgery and a ban should be put on this clinic. They can continue with all their daily general veterinary services. Liz

Approximate cost: $2500

I don't own a car and this clinic is only down the road from us so I have always taken my cats to them since April last year. What I like about this clinic is that they are very efficient so I never have to wait long for the consultation and I can usually get an appointment for my cats on the same day or the next day. However the vet nurses and the vet are so efficient to the point that I feel we are being rushed out every time. Each consultation generally lasted no more than 5 minutes. And before we can say thank you to the vet we are rushed out to pay.

As a new cat owner I have many questions and I feel the answers they gave me were often inadequate, for example when I asked if IV fluid was necessary for my cat's neutering procedure: they answered, it depends on the level of comfort you want to give your cat. How ambiguous. What I had hoped is some explanation of the procedure and whether it's necessary since the actual neutering costs $126.95, and the IV fluid costs $72.95. In the end I did give him IV and the pain killer was at a separate cost.

Every time I called up to ask a minor question they refuse to answer. For example, when our kitten (at 6 weeks old) refused to eat or drink and was clearly unwell and I could not get an appointment until the next day. I asked when I booked the appointment what sort of signs I should watch out for overnight in case it became an emergency; they simply refused to comment and said they can only answer when we bring the kitten in. Fortunately, the condition didn't worsen.

I called up recently to enquire the price of canine removal as our 3 year old cat has fractured his. The person on the phone refused to give me a ball park figure and was rude and impatient. Since I really needed to know an approximate cost I called up another clinic and they spent about 10 minutes explaining patiently how fractured tooth may affect a cat and what can be done to fix it. They kindly provided me with the approximate cost and the clearly explained what its for.

Intially, my cat was not too bothered by vet visits but now he shakes fearfully when we take him to the vet. So I guess he is unhappy with this clinic too. If I had a car I would definitely go to a different vet.

Approximate cost: $unsure because consultation fee not seperated from treatment

The vet here is very friendly but I keep getting charged a $50 "consultation" fee every time I come in for new medication because the previous medication I was given didn't work.

Approximate cost: $>$400 yet no improvement in my pets condition

Have been coming here for a while now and overall pleasantly happy. Staff are friendly though since their recent expansion it has become a little impersonal but must admit the dog grooming service here is exceptional.

I have been a customer at this vet for a very long time. To begin with I was very happy. I remember how the vet used to kiss my dog on the head. I thought wow, here is a vet that really does love animals.

However over the years I have found that changed. I feel the vet seems to have lost their passion. On my more recent visits they would try and sell me things that were very pricey and uneccessary, without any regard to my pocket. I can no longer trust bringing any of my pets here. I found the vet spoke too fast about my pets condition without taking the time to explain it to me.

Very expensive too!!! I have done some research and found much fairer prices.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I have similar experience from this clinic. I have found that cat neutering is expensive here and it did not include a post-operative check up to see if the wound has healed properly. Another vet nearby has included this in their price which is similar to what I have paid.
